Students will head back to school in-style this year, as specialty retailer Eddie Bauer offers customers the chance to win an Eddie Bauer special edition COMPAQ Presario 1400 notebook. Eddie Bauer has announced a partnership with Compaq to give away 200 Special Edition notebooks from July 17 to September 4 as the grand prize to the Eddie Bauer Decode & Win(TM) game. In addition, 100 Digital Audio Players and 1,000 Eddie Bauer Daypacks will be given as second and third prizes.

Unique out-of-store communications include mobile billboards and distribution of Decode & Win game pieces at campuses across the nation via Unofficial Student Guide, Survival Kits and College representatives. To find out if a game piece is a winner, Eddie Bauer has provided two ways to conveniently decode a winning message. 1) By visiting eddiebauer.com, contestants will be directed to the decoder page where game pieces will reveal a winning message, once placed in front of the decoder screen. 2) Or, take a Decode & Win(TM) game piece to any Eddie Bauer sportswear store and de-code using a mock notebook screen located at the game center.
