 Decoding
Tips
1. The WebDecoder®game pieces are designed to interact with a
color monitor. Please decode using a color monitor only. Also, those
game contestants who have difficulty discerning colors may wish to
ask a friend or co-worker for assistance in decoding the hidden
message using
WebDecoder®.
2. For best results, dim your room lights and pull your shade or
blinds. This will remove any glare from your monitor. For improved
results, cup your hand around the game piece to remove even more
outside light. The word will appear in the center of the game piece
in large letters in outline form.
3. If you are using a laptop computer with a color screen, please
adjust the brightness and contrast on your screen until the hidden
message
becomes apparent. Because of the lower levels of light emanated
from a laptop, it may be more difficult to decode using a laptop than on a standard
monitor.
4. Those contestants using a computer which interfaces with a television
(i.e., WebTV) may need to adjust the brightness and contrast settings
on the television monitor.
